Kenneth (Ken) Hurst was educated in the United Kingdom enrolled in the Reading College of Technology with a Diploma in Science majoring in Chemistry and Mathematics. In 1975 he was accepted into the University Birmingham where he read Chemical Engineering graduating with BSc with honours. In 1978, Ken received a BP (British Petroleum) scholarship to read Polymer Science and Technology at Imperial College London, graduating with MPhil in 1981. Ken won the Bestobell award for Industry for his research work on Failure Patterns of Materials.
Mr. Hurst has held major senior management roles from Managing Director and Board member of a Stock Market based company in the United Kingdom’s Manufacturing Sector to Director in Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan. In 2002, he returned to Antigua and Barbuda starting several business ventures and most notably recently presided as the Chief Executive Officer of the 120MM Antigua and Barbuda Airport development. Mr. Hurst is also the current Chairman of Domus Windows, a leading window manufacturing company throughout the Caribbean Islands and Managing Director of Bau Panel Systems Limited.
